Membership

The Singapore chapter membership is opened only to people who work or live in Singapore.

Membership fee is for the duration between 1 June to 31 May of the following year.

a)    Working Individual Membership

Any person over 18 years old, working in Singapore is eligible to apply for working individual membership.

The membership fee for Full Member is SGD$50/ year.

Working individual member are those individual members who are required to and have fully paid up the membership fee.  They are voting members who shall have the right to vote in all matters in the Business Meetings.  They shall have the right to elect the Executive Committee, to hold office, and attend and vote at any meetings of the Society which they are entitled to attend.

 

b)    Tertiary School Students and Nsmen Membership

Any person who are studying in a local registered tertiary institutions or person who are serving National Service at the point of subscribing to the chapter are eligible to apply for tertiary school students and NSmen membership.

The membership fee is SGD$30/ year.

Tertiary school students and NSmen members are voting members whose right to vote is limited to the election of the Executive Committee. They are not entitled to hold office but are able attend any meetings of the Society which they are entitled to attend.

 

c)    Secondary School Students and Retirees Membership

Any person who are studying in a local registered secondary school or any person who has retired from a full time occupation is eligible to apply for secondary school students and retirees membership.

The membership fee is SGD$20/ year.

Secondary school students and retirees members do not have the right to vote and are not entitled to hold office. However, they are able to attend any meetings of the Society which they are entitled to attend.

 

d)   Corporate Membership

Any company who are locally registered is eligible to apply for corporate membership.

The membership fee is SGD$200/ year.

Corporate members do not have the right to vote and are not entitled to hold office. However, they are able to attend any meetings of the Society which they are entitled to attend.

Note:  ISOC Singapore Chapter shall have the absolute discretion in approving any application for membership.   Membership shall commence on acceptance by ISOC Singapore Chapter in writing and on payment by the applicant of the required fees.  All membership fees once paid shall not be refundable.
